DevIgnite started because the gap between “cheap template website” and “agency invoice with five zeros” was absurd. South African brands deserved better — real design, real code, real people on the other end of the email.

So we built a studio that cuts out everything you shouldn’t be paying for. No account managers. No upsells. No drag-and-drop themes pretending to be design. Just two founders, hand-designing and hand-coding every site that leaves the studio.

The result is a small, deliberate practice. We take on a limited number of projects each month, and every one of them gets the same treatment: a custom design from a blank canvas, hand-built front-end code, mobile-first layouts, and on-page SEO baked in from launch day.

With a Bachelor’s and Honours in Computer and Information Sciences and years of production web experience, he brings agency-grade engineering discipline to every freelancer-priced build.

Matteo turns brand briefs into pixel-perfect interactive prototypes and shepherds every project from first conversation to launch — making sure clients get a custom website they love, at a freelancer-friendly price.

With a Bachelor’s in Computer and Information Sciences and Honours studies at Varsity College, Matteo blends design instinct with technical fluency, so the websites he hands off look as good in code as they do in the design.

    Custom Design & Prototype

    You get a clickable interactive prototype of your full website to review and refine. Every screen is custom designed for your brand — never a template, never recycled.

  3. 03 — Weeks 3–5

    Hand-Built & SEO-Ready

    Once you approve the design, we hand-code the site to be fast, mobile-first, and SEO-ready out of the box. Clean code, real performance — not a bloated page builder.

  4. 04 — Launch

    Launch & Optional Support

    We deploy your site, configure analytics, and hand it over. Hosting, maintenance, and content updates are available as optional add-ons — only if and when you need them.
